LULAC Young Adult Council 44016

The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) is the largest and oldest Latina/o/x civil rights organization in the US. It is 91 years old this year!

The local LULAC Young Adult Council 44016 organizes around civil rights work within the Latinx community. We recognize that our Latinx community intersects with the Black community. We are in solidarity!
We will have speakers from our partners, which will highlight Black, Afro-Latinx, Latinx, and Queer voices. Speakers will focus on topics around shifting consciousness, reform, alternatives, and resistance. We will also have artists perform throughout the rally.
For over 6 years, this local chapter has been moving important work forward to reform and change institutional problems. They continue to lead and we must all join alongside them in the work they are doing. Please donate to them by going to their website by clicking on their name.

They will be providing the Land Recognition and performances.
It is an important practice to always do a Land Recognition at all our events.
They will be donating the stage and technical support for the event. We are deeply grateful for the example of how organizations can show up for intersecting communities!
